As the Manager of the 30-person Tech Sourcing Team at Uber Eats, I spearheaded the recruitment and hiring efforts to scale Uber's engineering team during a period of unprecedented demand.Tasked with hiring 1,285 engineers in 2021 alone, I personally recruited and hired my entire sourcing team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Recruited and hired a 30-person sourcing team to support Uber Eats' engineering hiring goals.

- Conducted monthly 1:1 meetings with each member of the sourcing team to provide guidance, support, and feedback.

- Led monthly training sessions on sourcing technologies and processes to enhance our team's ability to attract and hire top engineering talent.

- Maintained regular communication and alignment with internal sourcing managers at Uber to ensure consistency in goals, performance, and metrics.

- Achieved an impressive 98% score on the team's Managed Service Provider (MSP) scorecard every quarter.

Success Metrics:

- Embedded 30 Sourcers, constituting 26% of the total 113 sourcing staff.

- Contributed to hiring 418 engineers out of the 1,285-goal target, representing 32% of the 77% total993 hires made by 5 RPOs combined.

- Total Success Rate: Achieved 42% of the actual hires, hiring 418 engineers out of the 993 totalactual hires.

- Out of the 5 RPOs contracted, Team Broadwell had the highest success rate.

My tenure at Uber Eats was characterised by a relentless focus on talent acquisitionexcellence, contributing to the company's ability to scale its engineering team and meet thedemands of a rapidly growing market.
