Superpower: Orchestrator – Knows how business works, how to assemble resources and talent, and produce solutions. A people connector who is able to easily create group commitments to meet common goals and loves being of service to others.
For as long as she can remember, Stephanie has always been interested in emerging work trends, tech, and people practices. This curiosity not only fueled her career, but furthermore granted her the privilege of solving complex talent challenges as she conducted searches for some of the biggest brands in their respective fields, including Microsoft, Amazon, Nike, Box, Sprinklr, and Dyson.
Her journey as a tech recruiter began in Atlanta and New York during the dot.com 1.0 days of the late 90’s. Working with startups, she had a front-row seat to the rise and fall of the first internet economy. Eventually, Stephanie decided to go in-house and joined iXL, an internet professional services firm, to help ramp up their new business model. The next ten years of her career were focused on a recruiting leadership track and leading global recruiting teams at Sun Microsystems (acquired by Oracle) and then Microsoft. Stephanie soon discovered her passion for helping companies build progressive, diverse, and inclusive teams and began to channel her efforts to search for ways in which she could actively promote inclusion in her workspace.
In 2016, Stephanie launched Sustainable Talent to leverage her experience and interests in the evolving nature of work and the role of HR, with the mission of helping companies build inclusive people, teams, and talent strategies. Stephanie firmly believes that how well a company manages its hiring, recruitment, and retention practices directly affects its competitive edge and may very well be the deciding factor in its survival.
Her vast experience in different fields has contributed to Stephanie being an orchestrator who not only knows how business works, but further how to foster success. She utilizes her extensive knowledge to assemble resources and talent teams to produce real, meaningful results for her clients. In terms of diversity and inclusion, she specializes in a variety of areas such as outreach, recruiting, and retention. Stephanie also has expertise in management, sourcing toolkits, recruiter/hiring manager training, ambassador programs, and events/communication strategies. Her professional development and certifications include WBENC, AIRS, DDI, and Inclusive Hiring Accreditation Trainer.
